Introduction to Thypoch Eureka 28mm f/2.8 Lens

Thypoch Eureka 28mm f/2.8 Lens features an all-metal construction, weighs only about 137g, and is 19.5mm to 21.9mm thick (depending on the adapter), making it an ultra-thin pancake lens design suitable for everyday carry and street photography. It is available in two finishes: Matte Black (a matte black finish that will subtly reveal a brass texture over time) and Pearl White (a pearlescent white with a fine gold sheen), offering a warm and vintage aesthetic.

Optically, the lens uses a 7-element optical design, including one aspherical element and three high-refractive-index (HRI) elements, effectively controlling distortion (officially only 0.462%), suppressing ghosting and flare, and maintaining sharpness and contrast from center to edge. The maximum aperture of f/2.8 is suitable for low-light shooting and produces a natural shallow depth of field; the aperture blades can reach f/16. The 9-blade design helps create rounded bokeh and octagonal starburst effects.

With a minimum focusing distance of 0.4m (extended to 0.7m via rangefinding), it's closer than most similar 28mm M lenses, enabling the capture of close-up street details, environmental portraits, or still life. The filter diameter is 27mm, and the front diameter is approximately 42mm, facilitating compatibility with common filters.
